6Y si fuere de un mes hasta cinco años, entonces estimarás al varón en cinco siclos de plata, y a la mujer en tres siclos de plata.
7Mas si fuere de sesenta años o más, al varón lo estimarás en quince siclos, y a la mujer en diez siclos.
8Pero si fuere muy pobre para pagar tu estimación, entonces será llevado ante el sacerdote, quien fijará el precio; conforme a la posibilidad del que hizo el voto, le fijará precio el sacerdote.
9Y si fuere animal de los que se ofrece ofrenda a Jehová, todo lo que de los tales se diere a Jehová será santo.
10No será cambiado ni trocado, bueno por malo, ni malo por bueno; y si se permutare un animal por otro, él y el dado en cambio de él serán sagrados.
11Si fuere algún animal inmundo, del que no se ofrenda a Jehová, entonces el animal será puesto delante del sacerdote,
12y el sacerdote lo valorará, sea bueno o sea malo; conforme a la estimación del sacerdote, así será.
13Y si lo quisiere rescatar, añadirá sobre tu valuación la quinta parte.
14Cuando alguno dedicare su casa consagrándola a Jehová, la valorará el sacerdote, sea buena o sea mala; según la valorare el sacerdote, así quedará.

17Y si dedicare su tierra desde el año del jubileo, conforme a tu estimación quedará.
18Mas si después del jubileo dedicare su tierra, entonces el sacerdote hará la cuenta del dinero conforme a los años que quedaren hasta el año del jubileo, y se rebajará de tu estimación.
19Y si el que dedicó la tierra quisiere redimirla, añadirá a tu estimación la quinta parte del precio de ella, y se le quedará para él.
20Mas si él no rescatare la tierra, y la tierra se vendiere a otro, no la rescatará más;
21sino que cuando saliere en el jubileo, la tierra será santa para Jehová, como tierra consagrada; la posesión de ella será del sacerdote.
22Y si dedicare alguno a Jehová la tierra que él compró, que no era de la tierra de su herencia,
23entonces el sacerdote calculará con él la suma de tu estimación hasta el año del jubileo, y aquel día dará tu precio señalado, cosa consagrada a Jehová.
24En el año del jubileo, volverá la tierra a aquel de quien él la compró, cuya es la herencia de la tierra.
25Y todo lo que valorares será conforme al siclo del santuario; el siclo tiene veinte geras.

if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the Lord--a clean beast. After it had been vowed, it could neither be employed in common purposes nor exchanged for an equivalent--it must be sacrificed--or if, through some discovered blemish, it was unsuitable for the altar, it might be sold, and the money applied for the sacred service. If an unclean beast--such as an ass or camel, for instance, had been vowed, it was to be appropriated to the use of the priest at the estimated value, or it might be redeemed by the person vowing on payment of that value, and the additional fine of a fifth more.

if a man shall sanctify unto the Lord some aprt of a field of his possession, &c.--In the case of acquired property in land, if not redeemed, it returned to the donor at the Jubilee; whereas the part of a hereditary estate, which had been vowed, did not revert to the owner, but remained attached in perpetuity to the sanctuary. The reason for this remarkable difference was to lay every man under an obligation to redeem the property, or stimulate his nearest kinsman to do it, in order to prevent a patrimonial inheritance going out from any family in Israel.
